This painting is another reflection of motherhood to me. I painted this when my daughter was four years old. This mother and daughter painting has The Ethiopian Lalibela cross on their necks. This is a symbol of faith and pride. They both have butterfly figures on their eyes. The butterflies symbolize spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life.
